Here Are My Top 5 Tips in Picking The Best Senior Photographer
1. Start looking on Pinterest and Instagram for senior photos you like. Figure out what you like about that picture. Is it the location, editing style, composition, or clothes? Once you determine the style of photography you like, you can start your research!
2. Start looking at senior portraits of your friends who were high school seniors in the past two years. Once you see images you love, reach out to them to get the information for their photographer
3. Figure out how legit the photographer is. Research Google, Facebook and Instagram to see current work and read reviews. Many photographers are hobbyists and this should help you weed out people who are no longer offering sessions.
4. Make a list of your top 5 favorite photographers and take notes. Compare what they offer, prices, and how fast they get you the images. Use this list to determine what is your "must have." Keep in mind that if your parents are paying for the session, they likely will have full say in who you ultimately work with. It will help for you to have bullet points and details to share with them. Who knows, maybe they could be convinced to let you book with your dream photographer.
5. Once you think you found "the one," contact them directly... via phone. Here is why. You know authentic people when you meet them and talk with them. You can't get that same vibe in an text or email. Do they seem easy to work with. Do your personalities and visions vibe? If so, congrats, you found the one who will help you create some epic images!
