Having a September wedding in the midwest can be a total toss up in terms of weather. Well, we got heat, super hot, radiant heat! Getting there was quite the adventure. As I passed the Prescott Bridge, I knew I was in for a surprise. There were motorcycles everywhere for miles upon miles, all the way to the venue! I quickly learned that it was the Tomahawk fall ride festival for MDA. I arrived at the Blue Door Inn in Alma, WI in time to get the getting ready shots of the gorgeous bride, Rachel. She was just radiant! She has the most amazing red hair!
THE FIRST LOOK
The sun in September is no joke! I brought a battery operated fan to cool down and tons of water. It was hard to find any shade at Danzinger Vineyard, but we made due and got some pretty fun wedding photography shots of the couple’s first look. The groom arrived first in one vehicle and the bride pulled in behind my vehicle as a buffer so they wouldn’t see each other. I love the suspense of the bride and groom waiting to see each other!
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony was our shading grace! The Bride’s bouquet was so beautiful. I love Calla Lillies! It made the perfect backdrop for the wedding ring shots!
THE SUNSET WEDDING PHOTOS
The Wisconsin sun was so amazingly orange that night! These were my absolute favorite images from the day!
