NEW YEAR’S EVE WEDDING
This Saint Paul, Minnesota winter wedding was one I had looked forward to since the day I spoke with the bride back in the summer. A NYE wedding is a sure way to get the new year started off right. I mean, saying your vows before midnight could earn you some pretty neat tax benefits as well. Can you tell my life before photography involved taxes? We all have a bit of geek in us don’t we?
I love detail shots! They are so fun and are a nice way to get to know the wedding party before photographing them. The bride had a beautiful wedding dress!
413 on Wacouta Event Center is a gorgeous venue with multiple floors. It was super windy and cold, so we did the first look inside in a skyway. The ceremony was held on the main level in a more intimate setting.
Some couples choose to forego speeches, but they can add a lot to the day. People say things they don’t otherwise say, which can be both embarrassing and sentimental.
The first dance was so sweet! The couple had lots of laughs and tons of fun!
The bride had an awesome vision to use glitter/confetti poppers to help bring in the New Year’s vibe. The result was epic! I know everyone lately has been into doing sparkler shots (which I love), but this required less people (props to my assistant Rachel for being the popper).
Happy 2019 and may you have the best new year yet!
